The calendar includes the most important city events in 2020.
A presentation of the St. Petersburg city events calendar for 2020 took place yesterday. This is the 23rd paperback edition of the most significant cultural events of the year list.
2020 is the anniversary year of the victory in World War 2, and a section of the calendar is dedicated to the most important events dedicated to celebrating the Great Victory.
The calendar also contains information about the exhibitions in the Russian Museum, which turns 125 this year. All in all, there are 237 events listed in this year’s calendar, 67 events more than last year. Of course, there will be many more events that did not get into the calendar.
‘We work with all public institutions during the year collecting information for posting on the Committee for Culture web portal’, Yelena Smirnova, director of the Cultural Programmes Institute, explains.
3,000 copies of the calendar have been printed. They will be available at cultural events, in the Cultural Programmes or Institute and in the St. Petersburg Committee for Culture.
