Specialists say, birds stay for winter where they find enough food, no enemies and clean water.
A flock of swans has returned to the St. Petersburg dam, the Directorate of the Saint-Petersburg Flood Prevention Facility Complex has informed in its Instagram account.
Specialists believe the birds came early because the Gulf of Finland has not frozen. Swans have been changing their traditional wintering areas of late and staying for winter in ice-free water bodies.
Birds choose to stay where they find enough food, no enemies and clean water.
