St. Petersburg rates the 284th in the world’s most expensive cities list, reports Life.ru quoting the statistics portal Numbeo.
On the top of the list are the Swiss cities of Zurich, Basel, Lausanne, Geneva and Bern. Other cities in the Top 10 are Oslo, Reykjavik and Bergen.
The most expensive Russian city is Moscow, which rates the 251st.
When making up the rating, the January cost of living index in 440 cities was taken into account. The index includes prices in shops and restaurants, public transport tariffs, utilities costs and other parameters.
