Kirill Finashin who underwent 23 surgeries had an excursion to the Baltic Shipyard and the “Arktika” icebreaker.
On January 20, 11-year old Kirill Finashin came to the Baltic Shipyard in St. Petersburg with his mother and brother for an excursion of the yard and the “Arktika” icebreaker.
According to the Peterburgsky Dnevnik daily, Kirill sent his wish to the ‘Wish tree’ to Vladimir Putin before the New Year. He told the newspaper that he had seen the icebreaker on TV and when invited to participate in the action, he already knew what his wish would be.
Sergey Aksyonov, head of the Crimea Republic, helped organize the trip for the boy’s family. Kirill and his brother Filipp were shown around the shipyard and had a tour of the icebreaker.
Kirill’s mother told that the boy has already had 23 surgeries, but is nonetheless active and dreams of becoming a shipbuilder.
